Asymptotic Behavior of Infinity Harmonic Functions Near an Isolated Singularity

چکیده
In this paper, we prove that if n ≥ 2 and x0 is an isolated singularity of a non-negative infinity harmonic function u, then either x0 is a removable singularity of u or u(x) = u(x0) + c|x − x0| + o(|x − x0|) near x0 for some fixed constant c = 0. In particular, if x0 is nonremovable, then u has a local maximum or a local minimum at x0. We also prove a Bernstein-type theorem, which asserts that if u is a uniformly Lipschitz continuous, one-side bounded infinity harmonic function in Rn\{0}, then it must be a cone function with center at 0.

An Introduction of Infinity Harmonic Functions
This note serves as a basic introduction on the analysis of infinity harmonic functions, a subject that has received considerable interests very recently. The author discusses its connection with absolute minimal Lipschitz extension, present several equivalent characterizations of infinity harmonic functions. He presents the celebrated theorem by R. متن کاملSolutions of Aronsson Equation near Isolated Points
When n ≥ 2, we show that for a non-negative solution of the Aronsson equation AH(u) = DxH(Du(x)) · Hp(Du(x)) = 0 an isolated singularity x0 is either a removable singularity or u(x) = b+CH k (x− x0)+ o(|x− x0|) ( or u(x) = b−C Ĥ k (x− x0)+ o(|x− x0|) ) for some k > 0 and b ∈ R . Here CH k and C Ĥ k are general cone functions. This generalizes the asymptotic behavior theory for infinity harmonic...
متن کاملAlgorithmic and combinatoric aspects of multiple harmonic sums
Ordinary generating series of multiple harmonic sums admit a full singular expansion in the basis of functions {(1 − z) log(1 − z)}α∈Z,β∈N, near the singularity z = 1. A constructive proof of this result is given, and, by combinatoric aspects, an explicit evaluation of Taylor coefficients of functions in some polylogarithmic algebra is obtained. In particular, the asymptotic expansion of multip...
متن کاملSolution of Harmonic Problems with Weak Singularities Using Equilibrated Basis Functions in Finite Element Method
In this paper, Equilibrated Singular Basis Functions (EqSBFs) are implemented in the framework of the Finite Element Method (FEM), which can approximately satisfy the harmonic PDE in homogeneous and heterogeneous media. EqSBFs are able to automatically reproduce the terms consistent with the singularity order in the vicinity of the singular point. The newly made bases are used as the compliment...
متن کاملGreen Function Estimates and Harnack Inequality for Subordinate Brownian Motions
Abstract. Let X be a Lévy process in R, dU3, obtained by subordinating Brownian motion with a subordinator with a positive drift. Such a process has the same law as the sum of an independent Brownian motion and a Lévy process with no continuous component. We study the asymptotic behavior of the Green function of X near zero. Under the assumption that the Laplace exponent of the subordinator is ...
